聚焦于金属二次电池水系、非水系电解液及深空、深海、深地、极地等极端环境多场耦合的电池能量存储转化等方面的研究和教学工作。作为项目负责人先后主持了博士后创新人才支持计划(博新计划)、国家青年科学基金项目(C类)、山东省青年科学基金及博士后科学基金面上项目一等资助等,作为科研骨干参与国家重点研发计划、国自然重点基金等项目。迄今以第一作者/通讯作者在Chemical Reviews、Advanced Materials、Angewandte Chemie International Edition、Energy & Environmental Science、Advanced Energy Materials、ACS nano等国际顶级期刊发表多篇SCI学术论文,申请发明专利8项,获授权2项。荣获北京理工大学优秀博士后等荣誉,担任第二届博士后理事会秘书长,担任Carbon Neutralization、空天防御等期刊青年编委。
